Our Story
How it all began
Our story starts in October 2016. We both swiped right for each other and instantly connected. A month later, we became girlfriends and we have not stopped loving each other since then despite the long distance for almost 3 years. We adopted a Red Syberian Husky, Romeo, who has been with us for almost our entire relationship (he is 9 too!), and together we have been making the best memories of our lives. We took endless trips as a couple and roadtrips with Romeo. One of the most memorables roadtrips was driving from Kansas to California so Romeo could see the ocean for the first time. He hated the waves and water but surely enjoyed sunbathing in the sand.
We both love all music genres and enjoy being 'music critiques' on Saturday mornings while we sip our coffees and watch music videos, concerts, and musician interviews and talk about them. We are both 'nerds' and are obsessed with data and facts. Gisela does the research and gathers, and Chelsea does the analysis. We are pretty good in the sheets 😂.
One of our favorite weekend dates is going to a Barnes & Nobles and reading books or magazines. There's nothing like the smell of a new book blended with the smell of fresh cup of coffee. We enjoy a balanced mix of routine and sometimes sporadic trip adventures. We are excited for what's next, and we can't certainly wait to do it all TOGETHER. On April 4, 2026, we’re so excited to celebrate with you.

Immediately following the ceremony, at the same location.
Join us for cocktails, dinner, dancing — and lip sync performances to keep the party going!
Dress Code
Wear what makes you feel like a star. Whether your outfit is inspired by your lip sync song,
perfect for dancing all night long, or just your personal style. It’s all encouraged.
Comfortable shoes highly recommended!

Does the song need to be related to the couple?
No, it can be anything you want. This is your time to shine on stage! We are just
the audience and want to remember this special gift from you forever.
Do I have to perform alone?
No, you can pair up with your spouse or a group of friends! If you're doing a group performance
and also would like to do an indiviudal one, please be our guests! Register both songs so our DJ
has them on their playlist.
What if I want to do a short medley?
You're speaking our language. Please bring your song the day of the party
and share it with the DJ before the performances begin or upload it when you register your song. We kindly ask
your medley to be no longer than 5 minutes so we give everyone a chance to perform.

Quick answers for wedding weekend
Do you have a registry?
Your presence means everything to us, truly! We don’t expect gifts at all. If you’re participating in the lip sync, consider that our greatest gift 🎤💃 If you’d still like to give something, a card is more than enough, and we love handwritten ones! We will have a card box available at the party.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 15–20 minutes early so you have time to park and find your seat.
Where do I park?
Parking is available on-site at James P. Davis Hall.
Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?
It will be indoors at James P Davis Hall followed by the lip sync party at the same location.
Can I dress based on my lip sync song?
Yes! Dress for your song, your style, or the dance floor, whatever makes you feel fabulous. Comfortable shoes encouraged.
Can I bring date?
If your invitation indicates a guest, this would be considered your plus one.
Are kids invited?
We love your little ones! Due to space and planning considerations, we are only able to accommodate children under the age of 12. A different seating area will be allocated for kids with the exception of infants and very young children. Thank you so much for understanding.
How do I sign up for the Lip Sync?
Use the “Lip Sync” tab to submit your song choice.
When should I book the hotel room block?
As soon as you can — room blocks are first-come, first-served and the group rate may expire 28 days prior arrival.
